Amber and Rob were such a fun couple to work with throughout the design process of their wedding ceremony stationery. Amber happens to be a great friend of mine, so when she approached me about designing her wedding invitations and ceremony stationery I was really excited to help out. She actually approached me to first design their Engagement Cocktail Party invitations, and from there we started the super fun project we named “Glam Fabulous”!
Amber and Rob chose the elegant and sophisticated Royal Palms Resort in Phoenix, Arizona as the location to exchange their vows and throw an over-the-top New Year’s Eve party/reception. Her colors were a deep holiday red, silver and black, which made for an absolutely stunning backdrop for such a formal and fun evening.
Amber wanted a theme that was formal, but still fun. We decided to go with a title script font that would give an elegant feel, but not make the invitations and other stationery items feel too traditional. For the invitations we used a shiny red foil stamp, which really popped off the soft white paper, and each invitation and menu also had a double layer backing that was hand glued. We took the “glam” up a notch with the menu and place cards by adding a sparkling silver ribbon and jewel wrap-around decoration. These jumped off the tables next to the beautiful candlelight. Topping off the evening each guest left with a miniature champagne bottle with a “Thank You” label which was designed to match the rest of the stationery. It turned out absolutely beautiful, and I will always remember this wedding suite as one of my all-time favorites.
